No doubt, many of you are familiar with a famous Tom Cruise scene in the movie Jerry McGuire. Well, this is my "HELP ME, HELP YOU!" moment.
Over the past year, we’ve put a lot of effort and brainpower into redesigning our website, making it easier for you to navigate and adding useful, informative content. We have had to familiarize ourselves with the meaning of buzzwords like SEO, Lead Gen, Customer Journey, Analytics, Marketing Automation, and Digital Marketing. All of this helps me (and our entire TEW team) to help you.
Admittedly, sometimes, it all becomes a bit overwhelming. And, since I, like you, only have 24 hours a day to work with, I’m always looking for ways to get the most out of my time and effort. Making better use of our time and effort means we can help more people.
Untangling from technology and getting to the REAL question.
(Bear with me, we’ll get there.)
Recently, I had an interesting interaction with a distributor who had also begun investing in their digital marketing program. In the course of the conversation as we swapped stories and compared notes, it became clear that they were ‘killing it’ with their lead generation, which is where it all begins for today’s marketing and sales teams.
How were they doing it? Their 15-person marketing team actively markets their products and identifies relevant content for their customer base. This in turn helps them generate 1000+ leads every month with a conversion rate of 22%.
This piqued my interest and made me curious about additional improvements we could make to our website and content. Honestly, I’m less concerned with the volume of leads. At the end of the day, while I don’t have a 15-person marketing team, the takeaway is to be sure we’re focused on providing you with timely, valuable, relevant content.
Content that helps you do your job BETTER. (I told you I’d get there eventually.)
This brings me to YOU, our visitors, readers, loyal customers and soon-to-be-loyal customers. Deep down, I know the best way we can improve things is if we continue to ask you questions like “What else can we do for you?” “What can we do better?”
Most importantly, “How can I help YOU do YOUR job BETTER?”
Whether it’s improving information flow, generating more relevant content, doing product/application reviews, or simply keeping everyone informed on our industry, I am open to all suggestions.
Okay, here’s where YOU can HELP.
