Our CEFIR® 2200 Ceramic Fiber Insulated Braid has a maximum single exposure temperature of 2200°F (1200°C) and a continuous temperature of 2000°F (1100°C) as well as good abrasion resistance. This product is available in standard build and heavy build ceramic fiber. Applications of the CEFIR® 2200 Ceramic Fiber Insulated Braid include: Heat Treatment, Component Testing, Steel and Aluminum Industry, Metals Production, Furnace Surveys, and Beaded Thermocouple Replacement. This product was designed for extreme temperature applications due to the ceramic fiber braiding on the individual conductors and jacket. The high temperature limit of CEFIR allows it to be used in areas where beaded ceramic thermocouples or sheathed thermocouples were previously specified. CEFIR is available with our without saturant or tracers. We also produce the CEFIR® 2400 Ceramic Fiber Insulated Braid, which has a maximum single exposure temperature of 2400°F (1200°C) and a continuous temperature of 2200°F (1100°C).
Refrasil® Vitreous Silica Insulated Wire is designed for extreme temperature applications, offering a maximum single exposure temperature of 2000°F (1093°C) and a continuous exposure temperature of 1800°F (982°C). Vitreous silica fibers are braided on individual conductor and the construction is completed with an overall braid of vitreous silica fiber. This construction is available in standard build and heavy build fiber.
Our Q-Glass 1300°F high-strength braided glass has a maximum single exposure temperature of 1600°F (871°C) and a continuous exposure temperature of 1300°F (704°C). This thermocouple wire is also available in color or white with tracers. Its applications are: heat treatment, component testing, steel and aluminum industry, metals production, furnace surveys, and temperature sensors.
Our G-Glass 1000°F Braided Glass has a maximum single exposure temperature of 1200°F (650°C) and a continuous exposure temperature of 950°F (510°C). Additional options include Reduced Itch Tuffbond™ impregnation on singles, stabilized Type K & Type E conductors, and fused PTFE tape moisture barrier. This thermocouple wire's applications are: heat treatment, steel and aluminum industry, metals production, furnace surveys, plastic processing equipment, testing, and temperature sensors.
