TE Wire will showcase autoclave thermocouple assemblies for demanding aerospace autoclave applications including a new prototype for invar tool temperature measurement.
For years, we have worked with numerous aerospace composites manufacturers and have learned about the biggest problems they deal with on a daily basis in their autoclave operations. And, let’s face it, there are a lot of unique challenges surrounding this demanding application, including unreliable thermocouples, lost time and increased scrap mostly due to issues relating to self-made temperature sensing assemblies.
At TE Wire, we don’t just listen to our customers’ problems—we do something about it. This tremendous wealth of information enables us to develop innovative thermocouple solutions for our customers most demanding aviation and aerospace autoclave curing applications.
In recent years, many tooling departments at composites manufacturers have been asking for a cost-effective solution to measure their invar tool temperatures.
We are proud to unveil prototypes of our new bayonet-style thermocouple sensor at CAMX 2015. This new addition to the AccuClave system has been developed with a special limits thermocouple wire and can be configured to handle ambient temperatures from 200° C up to 870° C. The product is available in Type J and K calibrations with fixed and adjustable spring loaded fittings.
